アメリカ生まれの詩人リンドレー・ウィリアムズ・ハベルをめぐる追悼論集。1997年刊行初版（ペーパーバック）。
ハベルは1953年に来日し、1960年に日本国籍を取得して「林秋石」の名を用い、その後も日本で創作と教育を続けた。本書ではハベルを知る友人、教え子、同僚による文章と本人の詩を収録する。巻末には略歴・著作情報、寄稿者紹介、詩の索引を付す。

Edited by David Burleigh and Hiroaki Sato, this memorial volume brings together tributes to American poet Lindley Williams Hubbell by friends, former students, and colleagues, together with selections of Hubbell's own poetry. The volume includes "A Selection to Last", "A Last Selection", biographical information, contributors' notes, and an index of poems. First edition, paperback, 1997.
