本書ではシリグリからガントクへ入り、ナトゥ・ラ、チュンビ・ヴァレー、ファリ・ゾン、ヤトゥンなどを経る行程に沿って章が構成され、ヒマラヤ地域の風景や交通、土地の人々との交流が記されている。Percy Brownによる写真を用いた16点の図版収録。

Complete with 16 photographic plates by Percy Brown. First edition, 1928, one of 960 copies printed on Basingwerk parchment, with a presentation inscription signed by John Easton and dated July 1928.
