東アジアの仏教文献を数多く英訳したThomas Clearyによる、『華厳経』の中国語からの英訳本。本書は1986年刊のVolume II初版。Clearyによる英訳は全3巻として1984年から1987年に刊行された。
本巻は第26篇「The Ten Stages」から第38篇「Detachment from the World」までの13篇を収録する。悟りに至る段階を扱う「The Ten Stages」に続き、集中、智慧、仏の性質、普賢の実践などをめぐる各篇が収められている。巻末にはGlossaryを収録する。
