本書は「Pioneers in Economics」第46巻として刊行された。全2巻で73篇の論文を収録し、ケインズ研究が『一般理論』の解釈だけでなく、確率論や初期著作、金融論、雇用理論まで広く再検討されていた1980年代の研究状況を示す構成となっている。両巻とも巻末にName Indexを収める。

Edited by Mark Blaug, this two-volume collection brings together scholarly articles on John Maynard Keynes and his economic thought, with particular attention to research published during the 1980s. Volume I contains Blaug's Introduction and 37 articles, while Volume II contains 36 articles; both volumes include a Name Index. Published in 1991 as number 46 in the Pioneers in Economics series.
