アーユルヴェーダ研究者Vaidya Bhagwan Dashによる、アーユルヴェーダとチベット医学の関係を考察した研究書。1985年刊行リプリント(ペーパーバック版)。
本書はアーユルヴェーダの基本的な考え方を概説した後、インドとチベットの医学知識の交流を検討している。仏教伝来以前のチベットにおける医学、世俗の医学文献、ナーガールジュナとブトンを取り上げ、インド医学の知識がチベット語文献へどのように伝えられたかを論じる。第5部では『Yoga Sataka』を批判的に検討する。内科、頭頸部の疾患を扱う治療法、外科、毒物学、精神疾患、小児科、強壮法、媚薬法、浄化療法などを項目ごとに収録する。
前付にはデーヴァナーガリー文字とチベット文字の対応表を備え、巻末には二つの用語集と参考文献を収録する。

Tibetan Medicine examines the relationship between Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine through a critical study of Yoga Sataka. It includes sections on Ayurveda, Indo-Tibetan relations, medical literature in Tibet, Nagarjuna and Bu-ston, a comparison of Sanskrit and Tibetan texts, two glossaries, and a bibliography. This copy is the 1985 reprint of the First Edition published in 1976.
